Hoope Lark displaying.

So relatively near and yet so utterly exotic, Morocco's combination of mountains, desert and coast explain it's exceptional bird life.

Southern Morocco has a well-deserved reputation as the top birdwatching country in North Africa.  Our circular tour takes us to the spectacular Atlas Mountains, the very edge of the Sahara Desert and the rich wetlands of the Atlantic coast. There is a fascinating mix of migrant birds from Europe which join a sumptuous array of North African residents such as Moussier’s Redstart, Black-crowned Tchagra and the endangered Bald Ibis. The desert is alive with elegant Cream-coloured Coursers and a wide range of and wheatears and larks including the totally flamboyant Hoopoe Lark. The High Atlas is home for alpine specialities such as Crimson-winged Finches and Alpine Accentors. This exotic country will be enjoyed to the full in the comfort of excellent four-star hotels and a spacious, air-conditioned vehicle.
