Whether you are a beginner or an improver you might like to come along to one of the courses below, covering a variety of aspects for the birdwatcher and a separate course for those wishing to do wildlife photography. Whilst there are clear learning objectives there is also an important emphasis on relaxation and field activity with as much help available as you would like.

Please also refer to the section in this website covering workshops and short breaks

I started off running courses all over the country at a variety of residential centres. Over the years it has been sad to see some of these organisations becoming consumed, sold off or simply deciding to abandon learning holidays for adults in favour of other things. After months of uncertainty I, along with many, was delighted that Higham Hall (arguably the nicest of all) has established a more autonomous status and will continue to run not only all my courses but a wide variety of others as well.

After abandoning their programme Special Interest Holidays it seemed that things at Losehill Hall, the Peak national Park Study Centre had come to and end and although there has not been a change to this policy I am very pleased to say that the doors are still open for independent groups and I have arranged the 2009 Peak Birds to be back there - this time under our own steam.
