They say that time flies when you are enjoying yourself and once more, another year flashes past − a year brimful of great wildlife experiences, once again shared with like-minded enthusiasts. Our events, both in the UK and abroad seem to be standing up to the economic gloom and we are grateful for the continued support.
For those new to Wild Insights, we believe our approach sets us aside. Quality is the key objective for us, across all our events. This of course applies to accommodation, transport and food but perhaps just as importantly, to the wildlife itself. The fact that we run all the tours ourselves ensures continuity both in standard and approach.
We consciously avoid being driven by quantitative targets and seem to be alone in our ethical stance, always endeavoring to place the welfare of wildlife first. This means on our tours you will not have to endure (from us) the use of playback bird sounds, ‘pishing’, tree tapping or any other disturbance tactic for that matter. Interestingly, the array of birds and other wildlife we record is actually comparable to others but we achieve this by taking our time and savoring the whole habitat we find ourselves in. The popularity of our approach is self-evident with over 95% of people joining us on a second trip - or in many cases multiple trips.
The new Wild Insights calendar gives the basic details of our 2013 programme which, as usual, is a blend of activities both home and abroad and we hope will provide something of interest for everyone. Whilst most of the events are very well subscribed, a few places on Costa Rica and Texas 2013 tours have become available. Vacancies and further details of all events can be checked at any time by looking at the relevant pages of this website.
At the back we have also outlined our 2014 plans. With a growing number of destinations in our range, the challenge is to provide a wide choice with new ideas but at the same time retain familiarity with each. We believe there is much to be said for re-visiting a place − inevitably there will be different experiences and the appreciation of a country is without doubt heightened the second or third time around. All the calendars were posted on the same day and as usual, those on waiting lists will have been be contacted beforehand.
